NodeSchool's open source lessons are called workshoppers. All are self guided — you don't need to attend a workshop to do one — and most work offline.

Get started by making sure you have Node.js installed, then use npm to install a workshopper. Once installed, the workshopper name becomes a command you can run in your terminal. For example:

Core workshops include JavaScript basics, Git and GitHub, Node.js basics such as asynchronous I/O and HTTP, how to use and create npm modules, streaming interfaces with `.pipe()`, Markdown, HTML, and desktop applications using Node and Chromium with Electron.

Electives include Express.js, hapi, promises, async, NodeBots, native C++ add-ons, JavaScript prototypes, WebGL, ES6, MongoDB and Node.js, regular expressions, Sass, Bash, functional and reactive programming, debugging, Browserify, Koa, React, web performance, Web Audio API, post-mortem debugging, LESS, and JavaScript best practices.
