Tencent Video Upload lets users upload videos to Tencent Video. It supports resumable uploads and large-file uploads when the upload control is installed: up to 4G in IE browsers and 2G in other browsers; without the control, resumable upload is not supported and the maximum video file size is 200M.

Supported formats include common online streaming formats such as mp4, flv, f4v, and webm; mobile formats such as m4v, mov, 3gp, and 3g2; RealPlayer formats rm and rmvb; Microsoft formats wmv, avi, and asf; MPEG video such as mpg, mpeg, mpe, and ts; DV formats such as div, dv, and divx; other formats such as vob, dat, mkv, swf, lavf, cpk, dirac, ram, qt, fli, flc, and mod; and mainstream audio formats such as mp3, aac, ac3, wav, m4a, and ogg.

Video processing flow:

1. Upload: upload the video to the server.

2. Transcode: after the upload succeeds, the server transcodes the video into a format recognizable by the player.

3. Review: after transcoding is complete, the video enters content review.

4. Publish: after review is approved, the video is officially published.

The service does not support video files shorter than 1 second or longer than 10 hours; after upload, they cannot be transcoded successfully. It supports transcoding to HD / Super HD, and the original uploaded video must meet the following standards: HD: video resolution >= 640×360, video bitrate >= 800kbps; Super HD: video resolution >= 1280×720, video bitrate >= 1500kbps.

Users must agree to the Tencent Video Upload Service Rules. Users commit that uploaded videos have complete copyright or legal authorization and do not infringe any third party’s legal rights. It is prohibited to upload unauthorized works of others, as well as pornographic, reactionary, or other illegal videos. Once a video is published on Tencent Video, it is deemed that Tencent is allowed to use and recommend the video on Tencent platforms and cooperative promotion channels.
