Laravel is a clean and elegant framework for PHP web development, positioned to improve application development efficiency; comparable to mainstream web frameworks, it provides common capabilities such as routing, MVC organization, templates, database ORM, queues, and testing.

Self-hosting requires experience with PHP/Composer, web server, and database configuration. Small sites usually have low resource requirements, but should scale according to concurrency. Users in China who need WeChat login/payment, SMS, object storage, and similar integrations should confirm domestic service provider SDK support and compliance filing support.
