OWASP (Open Worldwide Application Security Project) is an open application security community, not a single SaaS product. It provides projects such as the Top 10, ASVS, ZAP, Dependency-Check and security cheat sheets, and can be compared with various security standards and scanning tools.

Self-hosting requirements depend on the project used: documentation can be deployed statically; ZAP/Dependency-Check can run locally or in containers; resources increase with scanning scale. Users in China should note GitHub access, English documentation and no native adaptation for the WeChat ecosystem; integration with domestic code hosting, CI and cloud providers needs to be verified independently.
